Caring for Ziggy Crochet Cotton
AIRING & SPOT CLEANING
- Ziggy Crochet Cotton doesn’t require frequent cleaning. Wash once a month if you use it daily if you only use it seasonally — wash it once per season. We recommend airing your Ziggy Crochet to keep it fresh between washes.
- Any spills should be treated as quickly as possible by gently pressing a damp cloth or paper towel over the spill. Avoid rubbing the yarns and instead, gently dab and blot as much of the liquid as possible.
WASHING
- We recommend a cold hand or delicate machine wash. Make sure your washing temperature is cool.
- If machine washing, we strongly recommend using a laundry bag.
- Do not bleach, rub, soak, or wring.
- After washing while still damp, gently pull and reshape the item back into shape before drying.
DRYING
- Ziggy Crochet dries best hung flat over a clothesline outside to support the weight of the wet throw/cushion cover. Make sure you avoid direct sunlight — it can cause fading.
- Do not tumble dry. It can destroy the softness and shape of the crochet.
EXTRA TIPS
- Avoid using fabric softeners or conditioners (this can cause pilling).
- Consider whether your crochet needs to washed at all. Airing your crochet is a great way to keep it fresh.
- Dry your crochet flat, either on top of a lint-free towel or a clothes horse.
STORING
Make sure your Ziggy Crochet is completely dry before storing.
