What does GOTS mean?

Our Organic Cotton has been certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, a third-party certification process.

Better for the environment, better for you

This means our products are harvested, processed, woven, and sewn under accredited organic suppliers, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing.

It gives you a more sustainable choice that is free from harmful chemicals and pesticides. Basically, it’s better for you, your sleep, and the environment.

The key stages

In order to meet a GOTS certification we have to go through a pretty stringent process, from checking the soil we grow the cotton in, to the packaging we use to send our product out. You can find out more about the process of a GOTS accreditation here.

Our certification proves that every part of our product and process complies with the relevant (and extremely strict) GOTS criteria. The testing is extensive and we’ve put in the work to make sure we meet all requirements. Every single one.

Labels matter. Like are we officially dating? And has this product been certified by an Approved Certifier? Yes and yes. In order to be GOTS certified, labeling on our sheets must reference our Approved Certifier, who is independent of The Sheet Society. Our Approved Certifier is Control Union, License No. 1083935.

Our new GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton range is as promised, completely uncomplicated.

We promised to put sustainability front and centre for this range, and this is us delivering. Each order also comes in a cardboard sleeve made from 100% pre-consumer waste.

Why is GOTS better?

Organic Cotton is naturally hypoallergenic and odour-resistant. We don’t use any dye in production of our organic sheets. Our cotton fibres are breathable yet absorbent, soft yet durable, and really easy to maintain.

We don’t use any harsh chemicals in order to artificially soften our organic cotton. Like a new pair of jeans, your cotton sheets will soften even further with time to be uniquely yours.

Cotton is really easy to care for, and Organic Cotton is no different.. Since most of your clothing is probably cotton too, you’ll already have a good grasp of knowing how to care for it. Still not sure, and Mum and Dad not picking up? Click here.

Cotton will absorb the heat from your body throughout the night, allowing you to stay cool and dry. If you’re sleeping in synthetic materials, like polyester, they will absorb your body heat rather than naturally ventilating, so the fabric will retain your heat and you’ll have that stuffy feeling.

Better for your sheets

From invisible zippers to fitted sheets that actually fit, great design is at the heart of everything we do.
