Caring for your Mattress and Pillow Protectors

WASHING

  • Our protectors are pre-washed and ready to throw straight onto your bed. But when it comes time to wash them - give them the room they need for a proper clean, wash them separately (on their own) on a gentle cycle. Keep the washing temperature cool and use a small amount of laundry detergent.
  • Don't wait to pull the mattress protector out of the machine, start the dry process as soon as the cycle has finished (as it can take a while and you ideally don't want to use the dryer).
  • Do not bleach, rub, soak, or wring the protectors.
  • Regularly airing your protector on a warm, breezy day can also help retain freshness.

DRYING

  • Give your protectors a good shake after washing, then dry them on the line, in the shade. We also recommend you do not tumble dry the protectors.
  • TIP: Your mattress and pillow protector can withstand sunlight drying, but too much heat and you can end up with shrinkage. Too much direct sunlight and it can dry crunchy. Shade is your protector’s BFF.

IRONING

  • We recommend you do not iron our Mattress and Pillow Protectors.
  • If your Mattress Protector is Waterproof, the TPU backing should never be exposed to high levels of heat as it will melt.

STORING

  • Make sure your protectors are completely dry before storing them. Nobody likes mould. Don't store them in plastic either, as just like you, they need to breathe.

THE FABRIC

Cotton & TPU Backing

Our protectors are made of 100% cotton and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified, a global textile standard to ensure products are safe for your skin. Non-toxic dyes and no harmful substances used. It’ll prevent stains or discolouration and the yellowing of your mattress & pillows. Made from natural fibres that allow your mattress & pillows to have good airflow and at the same time, provide comfort and rest for a better night’s sleep.

Our Waterproof Mattress Protectors are backed with a thin TPU layer (Thermoplastic Polyurethane). This layer is a flexible material that’s smooth to touch, but extremely durable. It’s also noise free so the only sound you have to worry about is that morning alarm. TPU offers excellent resistance to liquid spills, sweat and oils (or whatever mess you make) to keep your mattress stain-free.
